About the CDPSE Certification
The Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE) is ISACA's technical privacy certification, designed for IT and security professionals who implement and manage privacy solutions. Unlike policy-focused credentials, CDPSE validates the technical skills needed to translate privacy requirements into engineering solutions.
The CDPSE exam consists of 150 questions delivered over four hours and covers four domains: Privacy Governance, Privacy Risk Management and Compliance, Data Life Cycle Management, and Privacy Engineering. Candidates must have a minimum of three years of cumulative work experience in privacy, with at least two years in a technical privacy role.
A passing score is 450 out of 800 points. CDPSE holders must earn 120 CPE hours over three years to maintain the credential. The exam emphasizes scenario-based questions that test judgment and practical knowledge, not memorization.
Scenario-Based Format
CDPSE questions test practical judgment. Our questions follow ISACA's exact format: situational scenarios using "BEST," "MOST important," and "FIRST" patterns that reflect real privacy engineering and governance decisions.
Full Explanations
Every question includes why the correct answer is right, why each distractor is wrong, and a study tip. This is the most effective way to learn CDPSE concepts — understand the reasoning, not just the answer.
Domain-Focused Drilling
Privacy Engineering accounts for 39% of the exam. Use the domain filter to focus your practice on your weakest area — whether that is governance, risk, life cycle, or engineering.
Built by Privacy Practitioners
Questions written by professionals holding CDPSE, CISA, and CRISC credentials who understand the nuance between "MOST important" and "FIRST" in a privacy engineering context.
